We set our LS3 packages up with the 6L80 transmission. Our LT1 packages can be set up with the 6L80, 8L90, or 10L80. Our LT4 packages are set up with the 8L90 or 10L80 transmission. Whichever combination you prefer, we can do it.

What kind of transmission does a Ford Mustang use?
Factory manual transmissions used behind the modular engine all have internal shift rails, as opposed to the external rods used on transmissions such as the Ford Toploader. Starting in 2005, the shifter used in Mustangs was a semi-external setup, eliminating the longer shifter rail.
What to do when transmission shifts from 1st to 2nd gear?
If yes, replace them. If they are fine, go on and inspect the second spring in the valve. Clean or change this spring and put all the components back together to reassemble the transmission. If you have not changed the fluid and replaced the filter already, do that while changing these parts.
