Why does my Ody alarm keep going off?
Hood latch sensor usually is the culprit. Disconnect the hood latch sensor and see what happens. My Ody alarm started going off randomly about a year ago after 10years . Did the hood latch disconnect and worked for a while then started again. Learned here on a forum that jumping the latch connector to turn off the alarm totally.

Out of nowhere the alarm started going off when opening the door, turning on/off the ignition. The red flashing “alarm” light was clearly visible on the dash. I took the car to Honda and they told me that if the car is locked via the remote lock, and unlocked via key, it disrupts the circuit and the circuit must be reset.

The hood switch is open when the hood is closed. So connecting the two hood switch wires would signal that the hood is open, which would of course set off the alarm. If you disconnect the hood switch, by default the security system will always see the hood as closed. Check the tailgate latch switch.

How long does it take for a car alarm to go off?
If the driver’s door is held open and the door push switch is manually held in the pushed position and the door is locked, then the alarm is armed after 10 seconds or so. If I then release the door push switch, then the alarm goes off as expected.
