Can you swap 6 speed transmission into 6 speed accord?
… There has been much confusion with swapping a 6 speed manual transmission into a 6th gen V6 Accord. I thought I would write this post to allow people to easily understand how the process works without unnecessary reposting of this topic over and over again.
How can I change the transmission on my Accord V6?
This can done be driving the car in limp mode, by removing the transmission range switch from the automatic transmission and connecting it to the engine harness. Then by manipulating the the switch to the N or P position using a screw driver. Test to see if the car will drive.
How much does a 6 speed Honda Accord cost?
Some guy is selling the whoel 3.2 swap conversion engine and manual for $4300.00 that includes the engine, tranny, and other miscelaneous stuff. Guy selling it is Hondaking. Don’t I managed to buy my 6-speed for $900 and install is about 2K so all together with miscellaneous parts its pretty much teh same price.
What kind of pedals do 6 speed Accords use?
For the transmission mounts use the ones from the 03 CL-S 6 speed. The stock axles and intermediate shaft work just fine with the 6 speed transmissions. The CL-S axles are suppose to be stronger and thicker. You can use either the 03 CL-S or I4 Accord pedals.
