Dry clutch wears much like a manual clutch by using friction to take up the drive and will have to be replaced at some point. The oil in the gearbox is not affected so can last a very long time.

I would agree with Hoody,I am on my 3rd 1.2 DSG Yeti (+a Fabia estate 1.2 DSG) I have found on all that the hill hold works fine, certainly long enough to get going. The hill CLIMBING ability of the DSG is far superior to that of a torque converter auto box.
When did the Yeti DSG 5DR come out?
Yeti 2.0 TDI SCR 150PS 4X4 SE Business Outdoor DSG 5dr. September 2015 vintage. Bought September 2018. The 12 plate had complete DSG gearboxes replaced (made to order in Czech Republic so took ages).
