Over 1700 secondary school athletes will converge on Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre from the 26th-29th September for the 2019 NSW All Schools Track & Field Championships; the state championships for secondary school athletes.

But in the 1930s the Amateur Athletic Association of NSW (AAANSW, later to become Athletics NSW) saw the need for a carnival open to athletes from all school groups, government and independent. At that time AAANSW conducted athletics for men, while the women’s athletics was administered by the NSW Women’s AAA.
How old do you have to be to compete in Little Athletics NSW?
The competition is open to any athlete currently attending a NSW Secondary School, between the ages of 12-19. There is no direct progression from a previous carnival, and no qualifying standards exist.
Can a student compete in the NSWCCC Championships?
The NSWCCC Championship is not a representative pathway event. Individual students can apply online to Athletics NSW to compete at the NSW All Schools Championships. NSW Athletics will provide officials for key positions: track referee, field referee, starter, track and field officials.
