Do I have to wear a mask at Erie Zoo?
Do you require masks? We would prefer our guests to wear masks when visiting the zoo. Masks bring an extra level of protection for our staff and animals (many who are susceptible to Covid-19). However, in compliance with CDC and PA state recommendations, masks are no longer required for vaccinated individuals.

About two years ago, the Erie Zoo restricted smoking to one area it created near the end of its park, away from the animal exhibits, said community relations assistant Ainslie Ulmer. “It’s hard to 100 percent enforce that,” she said. “Our staff sometimes has to go around and remind people.”
