What is Coban wrap used for?
3M™ Coban™ Self-Adherent Wrap is intended for use wrapping splints/arm boards, as a compression dressing, an overwrap for Unna’s boot, for holding other dressings, securing IVs and other devices and wrapping legs post-operatively.
When should you not use Coban?
Coban 2 Compression System should not be used on patients with an ABI <0.5. Patients with mixed etiology leg ulcers and an ABPI <0.5 and >1.3 should be referred to a vascular specialist for further evaluation and care recommendations.

An Unna Boot is gauze dressing filled with Zinc paste. You may also hear it called a “soft cast”. It supports vascular problems, helps with healing leg ulcers, swelling or lymphedema by giving compression to the areas that are wrapped.
Can you shower with Coban wrap?
Can you shower with Coban on? You can’t shower with it on, it will get wet. It stays on pretty good, but it will wrinkle your skin. It retains the water pretty good.
How do you remove a Coban wrap?
