Does drum wrap effect sound?
Believe it or not, the drum wrap material does not effect the sound of the drums. Any wood shell thickness at 1/4″ or greater does not produce any sound difference, whether it is covered or not (most shells are around 1/4″ – 3/8″ thick and some are greater).
