Are Rasta ZOAS rare?
One of our best zoanthids, the Rastas are very rare and incredibly beautiful. With their red/yellow/green color combination, these are definitely a show quality coral.
Where should ZOAS be placed?
Ideally, your Zoanthids should live in a low to medium-high flow area. If placed in too high of a flow area, polyps will have a difficult time opening, which stunts its growth/development.
Do zoas need lots of light?
Feeding Zoas Therefore they’re best kept with at least moderate aquarium lighting. For the fastest growth of these corals, it’s recommended that you feed them periodically with an appropriately sized food, although feeding is not usually required.
What is the most expensive ZOA?

The grandmaster Krak zoanthid is by far one of the most expensive corals for its size. A single polyp can max out at the size of a dime–and usually, you will not be purchasing them at this size.
How many hours of light do Zoanthids need?
8-10 hours is plenty. No need to worry about them opening up when there is daylight, but your lights are off. It’s just their natural behavior to open up whenever a good source of light is available.
Are ZOAS hard to keep?
Zoanthid and Palythoa are both colonial type corals, meaning they form a colony of individual polyps all living together. Zoas and Palys are both very hardy soft coral placing them amount the easier to keep corals and making them a excellent choice as corals for beginners.
