Why does ADPi have Mallard ball?
We reserve great, local venues, such as, Arizona Pete’s or Kress Terrace, for our social affairs. Mallard Ball, a unique national ADPi tradition, is our semi-formal in the Fall where sisters and their dates dress in their best camouflage and celebrate the beginning of Duck Season with dancing and fun.

Flower. The Woodland Violet, which grows wild, is the official flower of ADPi. Because it is unavailable for purchase, African Violets are often used to symbolize the Woodland Violet.
Is ADPi religious?
For 166 years, our sisters have been guided by ADPi’s founding principles of sisterhood, scholarship, leadership, and service to others. The principles established by our founders in 1851 are enduring standards exemplifying the highest ideals of Christian womanhood. The sisterhood of Alpha Delta Pi is forever.
What is ADPi jewel degree?
Jewel Degree is a beautiful ceremony established in 1915 as an alumna degree to complete our Alpha Delta Pi ritual. It expresses the Alpha Delta Pi ideal of service to humanity. It is conferred upon graduating seniors or initiated members who have assumed alumna status.

Before we explain what you can expect with the “New ADPi,” let’s take a trip down memory lane. It all started in 1851 when Eugenia recognized she needed change. Leaving home at 16 to attend the first college in the world to grant degrees to women just wasn’t enough for her.
What are the colors of the ADPi brand?
Here, our primary brand colors of Blue and Gold were born, and we have used them ever since. And, in 2015: there was a logo refresh, changing the tagline from block type to the “Adelphean” typeface. Our colors were slightly updated to a lighter blue and different shades of gold and purple, and this is what our brand is today!
