The IPAF Card or PAL (Powered Access License) is recognised as worldwide proof of platform operator training to the highest standard. They are issued by the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) to platform operators who successfully complete their training.

What is an IPAF card?
IPAF stands for “International Powered Access Federation”. A PAL Card, IPAF Card, IPAF Licence or certificate is what you need to prove you have the right training and experience to use powered access equipment (eg. Cherry pickers or Scissor Lifts).
What age can you do IPAF?
Who can obtain an IPAF licence? The minimum age you need to be to hold a licence is 16. There are no restrictions on the size of the machine you are able to operate providing you hold the licence for that category. There is also no maximum age for someone to obtain an IPAF PAL Card.
