Is swirls Car Park National Trust?
Both times we parked in Swirls car park at the base of Helvellyn Gill, north of Ambleside, for the most straightforward and well maintained route. Although a National Trust car park, parking was free on both occasions – the pay-and-display machine was longterm out of use.
