The naming-rights contract with Talking Stick Resort wasn’t renewed after a five-year deal ended in November 2020. Previously, the facility was named America West Arena and US Airways Center. The arena has been called Phoenix Suns Arena this season.

Why is it called footprint Center?
The venue formerly known as Talking Stick Resort Arena — now christened as the Footprint Center — is named after a Gilbert company that aims to eliminate single-use plastic with cups, lids, cartons and other food packaging that can be recycled or reused as compost.
