Can I bring my kid to the YMCA?

Gyms- Kids under 10 can use the gyms with a parent. Kids 10-12 can use the gym without a parent directly supervising, but with a parent in the facility. Kids 13+ can use the gyms without a parent onsite. Racquetball Courts- Kids under 10 can use the racquetball courts with a parent.

Can a 14 year old go to the gym alone?

Yes, with supervision from an adult. Especially a good idea for a 14 yr old to go to the gym, if they are an athlete. A 14 year old should go to the gym with adult supervision, or with help from a personal trainer. Many gyms don’t allow anyone under age 16 to workout without being acccompanied by an adult.

Can a 11 year old go to Planet Fitness?

In order to keep our membership cost conveniently low, we do not offer childcare services. And for the safety of children under the age of 13, we ask that they do not come into the facility. We do try to keep our clubs open as long as possible to accommodate all schedules. Check with your local club for their hours.
