The Maxell CD-R 700MB Write Once White Inkjet Printable Recordable Compact Disc is made for music recording, storing digital photos and data archiving. Disc will playback in virtually any CD recorder, burner/player, DVD player, computer drive or game console.

What is the largest CD-R available?
Most CD burners will allow you to overburn and most CD players will play them. These are hard to find and expensive compared to the normal 80 minute, 700 Mb CD. The shipper was very quick to ship them and I got them 10 days faster than I expected. Very satisfied with the product and with the seller.
What does the R mean on a CD?
A Compact Disc Recordable (CD-R) is a Write Once Read Multiple (WORM) disc. These discs can only record data once and then the data becomes permanent on the disc. The disc cannot be recorded onto a second time. It can then be read as a standard CD-ROM. After writing to a CD-R, it becomes a CD-ROM.
Why are CDs 80 minutes?
An audio CD contains audio data in CDDA (Compact Disc Digital Audio) format. A minute of CDDA audio always takes up the same amount of space on the disc, which is why you can only burn a maximum number of minutes to a disc.

Can you burn a video on a CD-R?
Most full-length home movies are intended for burning onto a DVD-R or DVD-RW. However, if you simply want to transport the data file itself and not make the movie playable on a DVD player, you can burn a small movie onto a CD-R with no trouble at all.
Is 1 MB a lot?
One megabyte is about 1 million bytes (or about 1000 kilobytes). An MP3 audio file of a few minutes or a 10 million pixel image from a digital camera would typically take up few megabytes. The rule of thumb for MP3 audio is that 1 minute of audio takes up about 1 megabyte.
