How do you use sulky Solvy?
In a nutshell. . .
- You print your pattern right on the sheets. You can print them with an inkjet or laser printer, or photocopy onto it.
- Peel off the paper back and stick the stuff right to the surface of what you’re embroidering.
- Hoop it up and start stitching.
- Soak it in water and the stuff dissolves away like magic.
What is sulky Solvy made of?
They are non-toxic water soluble, temporary stabilizers or transfer agents that are made of a polyvinyl alcohol film so they dissolve in water like magic! Super Solvy is twice as thick, heavy and strong as the original Sulky Solvy.
Which embroidery stabilizer is best?
In general, a cutaway will provide stronger support than a tearaway of a similar weight. Most of the time, we recommend using a medium weight cutaway stabilizer for best embroidery results.

How do you dissolve sulky?
Because Sulky KK 2000 Temporary Spray Adhesive is not water soluble, you want to be sure that all of the tackiness of the KK 2000 has dissipated before rinsing the Solvy away. It will dissipate naturally in a few days, or to hasten the process you can press the project with a warm dry iron (using a press cloth).
