What is an IAT wire?
IAT sensors consist of two wires, one wire for the 5V signal reference from the ECU and one for sending the decreased voltage back. Some IAT sensors are a combined unit with a MAF sensor and will contain 5+ wires.
What is IAT format?
IAT is a new standard class entry (SEC) code that will replace the CBR and PBR SEC codes that are currently in use today. NACHA rules will require the IAT code and format of all ACH payments entering or exiting the U.S.
How can I test IAT?
A) Checking IAT Sensor Resistance
- Unplug the IAT sensor electrical connector.
- Set your digital multimeter to over 50K on the Ohms scale or to auto range.
- With the engine off, measure the sensor resistance across its terminals.
- Plug in the sensor electrical connector.
Where is the power source on a wiring diagram?
The actual wiring of each system circuit is shown from the point where the power source is received from the battery as far as each ground point. (All circuit diagrams are shown with the switches in the OFF position.)
What does L mean in an electrical wiring diagram?
L PART NUMBER OF CONNECTORS Indicates the part number of the connectors used in this manual. M OVERALL ELECTRICAL WIRING DIAGRAM Provides circuit diagrams showing the circuit connections.
How is electrical wiring routing related to system circuits?
G ELECTRICAL WIRING ROUTING Describes position of Parts Connectors, Splice points, Ground points, etc. This section is closely related to the system circuit. H INDEX Index of the system circuits. SYSTEM CIRCUITS Electrical circuits of each system are shown from the power supply through ground points.
What does the code on the wire harness mean?
The first character of the connector code indicates the alphabetical code allocated to the wire harness which has the female connector, and the second shows that of the wire harness which has the male connector.
