Twin turbos are fantastic for the daily driven or mostly street-driven car. Each turbo needs the exhaust from only 4 cylinders to spool, so it spools much faster than a single kit. Smaller turbos in a twin-turbo kit can also produce similar power as a larger single turbo.

Can a single turbo ACERT work on a VVA?
The ECM was left stock and the kit included a box from Agricultural Diesel Solutions to modify the timing, fuel, and boost to work with the single turbo. The kit required me to back off the VVA’s, however not very clear instructions. Currently they are backed off all the way and 1 turn in. The kit worked trouble free for the past 60,000 miles.
