I have an Eaton 10-speed autoshift transmission and a Detroit engine in my 2001 Freightliner. I am having problems with the transmission. Some times it will not downshift below the 6th gear. It happened 4 times when I was driving a 160 miles trip.
Why does Autoshift not go into any gears?
When i have the truck off and turn key to start position and try to shift gears i can hear the transmission shifting successfully, however once the engine is running it will not shift gears. There are no service lights or error codes being displayed.
