Is the Cummins ISM no start or no smoke?
I have a customers 2000 International 9100i with a Cummins ISM. It quit running down the highway. Cranks but no start/ no smoke.
Why does my ISX truck won’t start?
I took the truck to my regular mechanic to have a full service done, and after they replaced all the fuel filters, it woudln’t start over their pit. (the primer pump was whirring away everytime i turned the key to the on position) Long story short, they diagnosed it as a bad high pressure pump.
Is there a problem with my Cummins ISX?

Click to expand… I’d check for air in the fuel. Run site glass and see what ya got. Pressures are very low. Sposed to be 90PSI cranking, 155PSI at 1600RPM. I have a vacuum gauge I put in the suction side of the fuel system at the pump.
Is there a power balance code on Cummins Insite?
Using Cummins Insite it has no codes except power balance code from #3 that has had a misfire for a couple weeks and they refuse to give me time to diagnose, power at the fuel solenoid, 25 psi fuel pressure cranking, it will fire on ether.
What to do if your Cummins pump has no pressure?
Sucking air will definitely kill the pressure. If you check it out and have no air, and no pressure, and vacuum less than 6, put a hose into a pail and see if it will run with a direct line. It is not common for that pump to fail.
