Fuse 10 is your trailer backup lamps. Fuse 25 is your trailer park lamps.
Are trailers grounded through the ball?
In some cases trailer lighting will ground through the hitch ball but that’s typically only if the actual ground circuit is insufficient. This is not an ideal setup. It needs to ground through the wiring of the trailer harness.
Why won’t my LED trailer lights work?
If the light still doesn’t work, you may have corrosion in the socket at the contact points. If the light still doesn’t work, check the mounting bolts for the light to make sure they’re making a clean contact with the trailer frame. I have brake lights and turn signals but cannot get the running lights to work. The 4-way on your trailer is what’s known as a wishbone connector like part # A35W42B. Two of the wires are the running light circuit which is a little easier to install since you can run one down each side of the trailer.
Where are the running lights on a Toyota?
This circuit is powered by the 30A TOW TAIL fuse in the engine bay (battery) fuse box. The fuse feeds the TOW TAIL relay which feeds Pin 2 of the trailer connector. The ECU energizes this relay when the parking lights or headlights are on.
What to do if your running lights are not working?
If the problem is not found in the connectors, you will need to follow the trailer wiring and check all of the grounds for all of the lights and the trailer connector. Make sure each light is grounded to the trailer frame and that the connection to the trailer frame is free of rust, paint and corrosion.
