How do you change the oil on an AVA Voyager?
There are two ways to go about changing the oil. The easy way is to drain out the old oil from the plug at the bottom of the fork. Remove the wheel and pump the lower fork tube up and down until no more oil comes out. When changing the oil, the shop manual says replace it with 330mL of new oil.
How can I tighten the swivel on my Ava Voyager?
Solution: Tighten the swivel adjustment nut. To get at the nut, use a hole saw and drill a one inch hole in the back of the mirror body. This gives you access to the adjusting nut, which you can then reach and tighten with a 10mm socket on a swivel joint.

What should the tire pressure be on an AVA Voyager?
Whether you buy Continental tires or not, keep an eye on your tire pressure (this is extremely important for Voyagers as all touring bikes- do not deviate more than 2 to 4 lbs pressure at most). Most of all ride safe!
Do you need to change spark plugs on Voyager 1700?
The type of spark plugs used on the 1700’s don’t need very frequent changing. How about just running some Sta-Bil in the fuel and installing a Battery Tender? That should get you through the winter. Of course, if you’re storing it “Long Term”, that’s a different situation. Unless you are storing for years fogging is unnecessary.
Can a spark plug be removed from A VAQ?
Service manual for the Vaq says remove the tank. I haven’t done it yet but it should be about the same as the 900. That’s a 5 minute job once you do it once. You definitely need to pull the tank to get access. Removing the tank isn’t hard at all. Getting the front spark plug wire off is a bear, though!!
