When do Interior Lights Come on with doors open?
All door positions are monitored by the BCM and it will switch all interior lights on when 1 or more door (s) will open. Will the interior lights not switch on with any door?
Why do the dome lights not come on when the door is opened?
Dome lights don’t come on when door is opened. Dome light dash push button switch (to the right of headlight switch) is in the extended position. Dome lights will turn on manually if the push button switch (a.k.a. dash light dimmer) is twisted to extreme clockwise position, but in that mode they simply remain on even when door is closed.

For what ever reason, when I open my doors the interior lights do not come on. Every other vehicle I have owned does this, and obviously this truck should aswell. I have looked for a switch that allows the lights to not come on when the doors open, but cannot find one.

Why does my GMC Sierra door not turn on?
It has been driving me nuts that when I would open the door on my GMC Sierra that the dome light would not turn on. It was simply the flat switch above the dome light knob left of the steering wheel. Like several others here, I had no idea it was a switch until I read this post.
Why are the doors on my Chevy Tahoe not working?
Unfortunately, this does not fix my problem, I have a 2008 Chevy Tahoe, 3 of the four doors the dome lights come on, but the driver side rear passenger door does not. Where is the door switch for this? I am sure the sensor or push button switch for this door does not seem to be working.
