Is there a problem with the fuel pump relay?
My wife’s 2010 G6 GT is having this exact problem. Every other day or so, the car will crank but not start. The temporary fix is removing and reseating the fuel pump relay in the trunk fuse box. It will go several start cycles but will fail again within a few days. Taking out and reseating the relay enables it to start again.

Replace it. There is a short that will bet worse. Mine took out the fuel pump. 0 5 Pontiac G6 overheating. Not sure why. Not using much water.

What causes the fuel pump to not start?
The fuel pump is running and delivering normal pressure to the engine But, with all that working your engine still will not start. So, the most likely cause, is that the fuel injectors are probably not opening. The (PCM) uses the trigger signal from the crankshaft position sensor; and/or camshaft position sensor to pulse the injectors.
If you notice a problem with your fuel pump, such as no noise coming from it or your engine not starting, there could be a problem with the fuel pump relay, which controls the electric current running through the pump. Luckily, fuel pump relays are easy to test and replace on your own.

If your multimeter only has 1 ohm setting, then turn the dial so the arrow points at that setting. If the multimeter has multiple ranges within the ohm setting, choose the lowest range possible to get the most accurate reading. You can buy a multimeter from your local hardware store.
