Gm put a v6 transmission in a v8 car. A transmission that is only rated at about 280 foot pounds of torque. The car is crank rated at 323 tq. Not to mention the factory active fuel management is prone to oil consumption and lifter failure.

It started out with the car slipping when moving from idle to 1st gear. Now, when it tries to shift from 1st to second, it hesitates and slips out of gear. It acts as if it will not fully engage. Mechanic states that the transmission fluid pan has metal shards in it indicating transmission damage.
