Why does my Nissan X Trail stop running?

HelloThis sounds like a lack of fuel pressure from the electrical pump at the tank. If the connections to this are corroded or damaged then the pump could stop at any time or could not be running at full speed.

Until late 2009, when the problem recurred; though only experiencing power loss. Car has not cut-out again as yet. Took car to mechanic with Nissan Diagnostic software but no fault had been recorded in computer. He replaced fuel filter, cleaned fuel pipe but the problem persists.
