The driver’s side CV shaft was making the dreaded popping noise, and had some lost motion in the outer end. It was past its prime.

How do you remove a CV joint axle?
If auto theres no bolts on the trans it just slides out i believe. There are four bolts holding the axle in. Three nuts for the lower control arm come out so the arm swings down. One large axle bolt. That’s it. then you take a prybar and put itbetween the trans case and the axle shaft and use a hammer to hit hte bar.
