Just something to seal it so it doesn’t leak. Have fun getting the bottom (rubber seal) of the cover in the oil pan if you haven’t already. Just BE PATIENT! When i put my timing cover on i had to loosen basically all of the oil pan bolts to drop the pan enough to slide the cover in there. just make sure you loosen all of them and dont miss any.
