Around 2000 /2001 there was a batch of engines which should have been re-called. The big end bolts where torqued too tight and under load with rpm such as towing they failed..It wasn’t a matter of maybe ? It happened to every engine.. Models after 2002 didn’t have the problems..

There should be bugger all boost at shut down If you can’t find any hoses leaking, again with the engine running, spray some soapy water on your intercooler and check for leaks. The I/C was replaced but will check all the hoses etc. Over boost does not bring engine light on. Clean the maf and see how it goes

Everyone saying the 3l are grenade engine and everyone else saying nah they’re the most reliable engine made by Nissan.
