What kind of SD card does Nissan Altima use?
So our 2013 Altima has a nav system that uses an SD card for the map info. Now it has started displaying a message that “No SD card inserted, Please use Nissan Card Only”. That card has never been removed from the holder for over 5 years, and now it’s failing?

If the copy protection level to stop you reading files was implimented if think you never could have started that. Can a SD card update a Nissan map?
When I insert the new SD card, the card is recognized as a Nissan Card but I am not prompted to perform the update. Has any of you experienced this issue? Any tricks you could share to coax the car to detect the new version of the map and perform the update?

Not sure if I can link in here, but the video had obnoxious music and was made by Coulter Nissan. It said to select the “info” button and then highlight the “map update” option and press “enter”. It implies no disc/media is inserted at this point -that is done later.

The instructions provided with the card show a dialog box that detects a new down load media found. There is an update button you click to begin the process.
