502 has a used cluster from another vehicle – so this will first have to have the eeprom reprogrammed to think it is a new cluster……..then the above once it picks up the stored mileage from the car……. Did you find the recommended reading relevant to this discussion?
Why does the odometer go to 100 instead of 60?
Basically instead of showing “60” for miles per hour, the needle will go to “100” for km/h. There is a tiny mph indicator that lights up, and that shuts off and the km/h indicator comes on. So now you are showing 100km/h instead of 60mph on exactly the same cluster.

Bringing back an old thread because this just happened to me. My odometer started blinking today at about 5,400 miles. No oil change message, no other lights/symbols. My car, stereo, and cluster are stock. No apparent reason for the blinking. I disconnected the negative battery terminal for a minute then re-connected.

There is a tiny mph indicator that lights up, and that shuts off and the km/h indicator comes on. So now you are showing 100km/h instead of 60mph on exactly the same cluster. All of the fuel economy displays and other things change from imperial to metric. The only thing that doesn’t is the climate control dials in the centre console.
