Why does my 2005 Nissan Altima not start?

Lately my 2005 Nissan Altima (3.5L) has been reluctant to start, having a 3-5 second delay from the time I turn the key and the starter begins working to the time the engine starts. Earlier today the car would not start at all. Again, crank sounded fine, but no start.

Why are the cranks on my Altima not working?

Cranks fine but won’t fire. I replaced the camshaft and crankshaft sensors but no change. No smell of fuel from the pipes, no security light, no check engine. There was no warning. If I put the key to the on position, after a couple seconds pass the radiator fan turns on.

What kind of engine does a 2005 Altima have?

I have a 2005 Altima, 2.5L, 4 cylinder. 121000 miles. Owned it about a month and a half. About 2 weeks ago, check engine came on and it was p0303, cylinder 3 misfire. We changed the spark plugs and one ignition coil and it started right up, check engine cleared. Drove over 1000 miles round trip on vacation with no issues.

What to do if your car won’t start when you crank the engine?

Remove a plug wire, insert a Phillips screwdriver or spare plug piece of bare wire into the plug wire boot and place the end near the engine block (do not hold the plug wire while cranking the engine unless you want a shocking experience). If there’s a spark when the engine is cranked, it has ignition. The problem is either fuel or compression.

Why does my Nissan club have no spark?

It has no spark, the tack does not move. We changed the crank sensor, and no change. My scanner said that it should have 5 vdc on one pin of the connector and that the sensor should ohm out at 165 to 200 ohms. When I tested the plug I had 12 vdc and the sensor reads open across all the pins. Did you rebuild the motor? did it die when driving.
