Due to the recent flooding, an 8 mile stretch of road on my way to work is closed due to a 300m stretch which is flooded. I fully agree with the closure of the actual flooded part because vehicles passing through the road create a wash of flood water which breaches the sandbag defences of the houses on the side of the road.
