Why is my key fob not working on my Nissan Pathfinder?
With the new battery the key fob wouldn’t work at all. The problem was that the super cheap (brand new still in package) battery that I replaced it with was more dead than the OE battery. I confirmed this with a volt meter. So I reinstalled the original battery and it worked perfectly for another year before I ever saw the message again.
When do I need to manually unlock my Nissan Pathfinder?

It can also be triggered by another vehicle’s smart key interfering with the signal. I have my other vehicle key fob on the same key ring and it does this. Solved the problem by not carrying the other key.
