Why is my Nissan Altima battery draining while driving?
If it is draining while your Altima is off, it’s usually caused by something that is drawing current that shouldn’t be. If the battery is draining while you’re driving, that is probably going to be the alternator or battery. There are other situations as well. We’ll cover those for you below.
Is it normal for a car battery to drain after 30min?
Ok, so that is definitely a ‘normal’ draw. 180mA is a little steep for 30min IMHO but shouldn’t flatten any healthy car battery. So I think you can rule out parasitic drain by the car electrics.
What should the battery draw be on a Nissan club?
Initial connection current is usually 200-250mA, so you are quite a bit high if that’s steady state. You can do some basic math…assuming no doors were open nor any other electrical item ‘on’, you should have been around 70mA draw…so you are ~100mA or so above average.
How can I tell if my Nissan Leaf battery is full?
You must start with a known full charge battery tested after a full charge with a battery hydrometer to test the electrolyte in each cell at 1.25 or higher S.G. If battery is maintenance free cut off the 3 cell cover and inspect the electrolyte charge and level.
