Is it against electrical code to bury a wire in the wall?
In some places, it is against the electrical code to bury a splice in the wall. If you make a splice, it should be in an accessible electrical box. My brother and I typically use appropriate wire nuts, and though not necessary, we usually seal the wire nut/wire junctions with electrical tape just to make sure nothing can touch bare wire.
What happens when electrical wires are cut too short?
Electrical wires cut too short. Trying to put an wall socket it the electrical cable broke and now doesn’t reach to the terminals. So far I’m assuming the thing to do is to weld more cable onto the end, is this the option?

You can’t randomly attach wire to wire, the color code has to be consistent. So, black-to-black and white-to-white, etc…. To do other wise could cause an extreme shock hazard, and cause problems with your electrical equipment.
