Why does my Ford Ranger have no power?

Btw, the theft light is supposed to blink every 2 seconds when key is out (as deterrent to thieves) , and should go out after it starts or in the start position longer than 2 seconds. My light would blink with the key out, but when I was in the start position it would stay on solid. I could crank my engine (ree-ree-ree-ree) but it would not start.

Turn on key and ‘silence’. It will occasionally start, allow me to get a block or 2 from the house,then the gear selector lights go out, and the engine dies immediately. I’m tired of towing it back to the house.

Only thing that has power is the instrument panel. I cleaned all the power and ground cables, check fuses, rotated relays. Also the switch on the brake, if that was a problem I think it will start in neutral without depressing brake and of course this wouldn’t cause the other problems it is having.

What happens when the fuel pump fails in a Ford Ranger?
When the internal parts/seals fail–they allow fuel to be dropped into the intake. Makes for extremely rich running, rotten economy, etc.. It’s a place to start. That and doing an actually fuel pressure test will show what the pump is..or is not doing.

Once it blinks start the engine and the vehicle will now be reset. If the engine does not start then You did not turn the key on and off quickly enough. The car is not starting. Flashing red light key shows that it is locked. How can we solve this? How to disconnect the slarm system.?
