They have been selling parts for DualSport bikes for years and had various upgrade options for our DR650, many of which we had never heard of until we went to their website. We started off with a 2020 Suzuki DR650S (one of several DR650 model designations such as S and SE).

Up front, we used the Cogent DDC (Drop-in Damper Cartridge) performance cartridges and three bottles of Maxima 5w fork oil. The DDCs from Cogent are easy to install, with no drilling of the damping rods.

Who is the test rider on the KTM DR650?
The test rider on the DR650 does a good job of embarrassing other riders on the trail riding bikes that cost twice as much. We’d love to see the faces of those KTM riders as they got passed by a guy wearing jeans riding a DR650 with tank bag, giant mirrors and a top box.
How does the 40l system work on a DR650?
We went with the 40L system in order to align with the style and intended use of this DR650 build. Without pinching the seat, this fit perfectly on top of the Pro Moto Billet cargo rack and allowed air to pass through the rack and muffler upon use.
