Are Harley Sportsters 1200 Fast?
Motorcycle.com tested the 2011 model XR1200R Sportster, and the top speed attained by the bike was 122 mph. Older versions of the Sportster don’t attain this speed. The 2001 Sportster 1200 Customs have a top speed of 106.9 mph.

Start by checking the easiest spot first which would be the spark plugs. Take out your spark plugs and make sure there is no nasty build up on them or any type of corrosion. Also make sure the point isn’t worn down and that the gap between the center and the ground electrode is the appropriate distance.

What causes my bike to lose power / sputter while?
Pull out the plugs give them a clean and put them back in, run a couple of tanks with injector cleaner and see how you go. It FEELS like a fuel issue, like it’s intermittently not getting gas so it wants to stall. Thanks for the tips I’ll try it out and keep you posted.
Why does my Harley Davidson hesitate when I Ride?
I have found that in the past week it has been hesitating and chugging while I ride. The idle is a little rough and as I stay at a constant speed the bike starts to chug and hesitate. I thought it might have been from sitting outside and not being ridden in a week while it rained so I have to try some dry gas.
