Is a 2003 Honda Shadow fuel injected?
Both are Fuel injected. Shadow RS recalls a flat track racing bike with chain drive, a ‘peanut’ style gas tank and a slightly higher seat height ( 29 inches ) with foot pegs less forward than conventional cruisers ( meaning a more standard seating position). Phantom is more like a conventional cruiser in ergonomics.

I am thinking of purchasing a 2003-2005 Honda shadow spirit 1100 and have been doing some research on it I have read lots of great reviews which has me convinced this is a great bike.
What to do if your Honda Shadow 1100 overheats?
This plastic connector has a tendency on many to overheat and melt, causing above components to need replacing. Most people just cut the connector out and solder the 3 wires together ( no particular order ) and then you are safer.

I just purchase my second shadow spirit vt1100 1997, (sold the first and regretted it) and although outwardly the connector looked fine, when I pulled it apart the female part was black inside the fitting. Great bike!!
