Notice the throttle tends to stick. It doesnt snap back to idle like it should, I commonly have to push down the spring on the right side of the bike (on the carbs) to get the idle back to its lowest setting. They appear to be the original throttle cables on the bike.

Can you return the throttle cable to the original place?

If your pull cable becomes sticky or dirty you can physically return your throttle to the original place without reaching down and finding the carbs and possibly burning your hand. A lot of people are doing away with the return cable and had no problem, but I keep mine in place and in good working order just in case on long rides.
