How many times has my bike shut off while riding?
Two or three times it has shut off long enough for me to coast to side of road and re-start WITHOUT cycling run/off switch–I just hit start. Last time was in middle of intersection when I was starting from stop. Took a little more for it to start that time but normally starts right up.
What causes a V-twin bike to shut off while riding?
Intermittent cutting out. Turns out it WAS the cylinder head temp sensor. This issue lasted almost a year without throwing a code a drove me nuts. It kills the bike by falsely telling the ECM the bike is too hot, which in turn then shuts the bike down.
What causes a bike to stall while riding?
If that PCV valve is malfunctioning, it could cause a vacuum to develop and suck air in from outlet to balance the pressure and cause your stalling. I had that issue once, just a decent thing to check.

Why does my bike start when I turn it off?
Unscrew the ignition module from the bracket and wiggle the wires when the bike is on. If you duplicate the issue, that’s it. That could also be why it starts sometimes and not others. Bc you’re turning the key on and off and it’s “hitting” right or wrong.
When did my bike die at a red light?
Now today (Friday), start it up about 2-3 miles into my 10 mile trip to work, I’m in bumper to bumper traffic, in neutral at a red light just waiting and the bike completely dies similar to what happened Wednesday just this time I wasn’t even touching anything or even in motion.
Is it safe to descend on a road bike?
It is best to practice this body position on long, straight sections of road. Riding in the drops while descending is actually safer than riding on the hoods. Not only do you have a better grip on the handlebars, you also have a lower center of gravity which means more traction or grip on the road.

Why does my bike speed up when I twist the throttle?
Twisting the throttle opens the butterfly valve in the carburetor which allows it to suck in more air. With the increased air flow, the carb should also suck in more fuel. So, if enough fuel isn’t supplied the engine can’t handle the extra air. I don’t know enough about your bike to offer a solution, but this is one possible cause.
