When did my Ski Doo formula 500 go out?
I have a 1997 Ski Doo Formula 500. Recently, the headlight, taillamp, and handwarmers went out. I checked the stator and it was bad so I replaced it.

The stator can be tested with a digital multimeter. Determine the stator resistance range for your model Ski-Doo. This information is in your owner’s manual. Remove the engine cover of your Ski-Doo with a wrench. Also remove the negative battery cable with the wrench.

[attachmentid=26660]i would say get an ohm meter and check the values of your stator to begin with. i do not know what they should be for your sled but a dealer may be able to help…. i have read that even a good read maymean a bad stator .. i would also look into the voltage regulator.. good luck (o: More than likely, it’s going to be the stator.
