Is the idle speed motor on my 99 ultra bad?
I have a 99 Ultra with MM Injection. When I bought the bike 4 years ago the cold start/idle was terrible. Being in the car business it was not too difficult to diagnose as a bad idle speed motor. It actuated but once it touched the lever it would not move it.

Just seems to happen when I’ve been running at a fairly wide open throttle maintaining higher speeds for a while (fwy) or longer stints (catching all green lights) on the streets at a speed of about 45 or more. It always seems to come back to a normal idle after getting back into first gear when stopped, or when I start going again in 1st.

If I reflashed and ever wanted to go back to stock I would have had to buy anothe ECM fromHD with the FLTRSEI flash.

How to adjust idle speed with fuel injection?
I have an ’01 fuel infected Roadking. Last year I noticed that it rarely went into high speed idle when cold. By the end of the season it was idling low, around 700, 750 rpm. According to the manual I am supposed to hook up a diagnostic tool to a connector, find a voltage and make adjustments.
