Are there any problems with the Rev Tech ignition?
Ok,, try this,,, pull the front plug,, ground it and start up,, does it run any different than before,, if yes,,, then it was firing before.. Me,,, I would swap coils and wires just for elimination.. I am very interested in what you find if you do the things I sugg.. Thanks for helping. It is a dual coil single fire with only 2 plugs.
Why is the plug coming out of my Rev Tech?
(Although I don’t know torque spec for the long nut that holds that front gear on that the belt runs on. I did put it back on with an impact wrench) One of the two wires that go to the plug was cut by the magnet strip in the flywheel. It had started coming out of the flywheel a little and i guess rubbed the wire in two.
What should spark reading be on ignition coil?
If your coil reads under 11.00, then chances are pretty good that this is the reason you’re not getting any spark or a very weak one. Replace the coil with a good quality new one, make sure you attach and tighten the leads correctly, plug in the top cable that goes to the distributor, turn the key and you should be good to go!
How does the Rev tech work on a V-twin?
If I pull the plug, put the plug wire on, hold it against the block and crank the engine, it fires. Hey I just thought of something else. When I do run the engine the exhaust pipe from the rear cylinder heats up pretty quick. The front pipe is still cold while the rear one is hot. Head is the same way, front is cold while rear is warm/hot.

What to do when your engine has no spark?
Insert a spark plug tester into the plug boot and ground it on a piece of metal on the engine. Finally, Have someone crank the engine and watch for spark. Remove one of the coils from the spark plug. Use an extra spark plug. A spark plug tester. Or even a screwdriver in the end of the coil.
