How do you break in a new Harley-Davidson?
Break-In Riding Procedure
- During the first 50 miles of riding, keep the engine speed below 3,000 RPM (5,000 RPM for VRSC™) in any gear.
- Up to 500 miles, vary the engine speed and avoid operating at any speed for long periods.
- Drive slowly and avoid fast starts at wide-open throttle until the engine has warmed up.

Is it bad to lug a Harley?
Lugging your engine is tough on the main bearings. The connecting rod rides on a thin layer of oil in your main bearings. You can damage the bearings by too much RPM or too low RPM under load. Low RPM under load can cause the film to break down and you will get metal-to-metal contact at the main bearings.
How many miles does it take to break-in a Harley?

Can a RDRS calibration work on a non RDRS bike?
The first is loading a non-RDRS Power Vision calibration into a RDRS equipped bike, this does not work; it will set an assortment of engine codes, the CEL and Traction Control lights on the gauge cluster will remain lit, and RDRS will be non-functional.
