Why does my Yamaha Grizzly make a clicking sound?
Starting to have trouble with my starter. Sometimes when I push the button it doesn’t do anything but make a clicking sound (electrical not mechanical). Sometimes you have to push it several times and hold the button down. Do yall think this is a starter issue or electrical connection issue.

It never hurts to take all the wire conections apart and clean and grease them with dielectic grease. Even those pesky bullet connectors. The nut and post connectors can oxidize a little making a hard shell of oxidation on the metal which makes a poor connection.

But the growl sound he talks about when the engine is in neutral seems similar to the sound that I get also when my engine is in neutral or just idling in any gear for that matter. As soon as i give a little throtle and drive away, all is good.

I have a strange sound coming from my clutch assy. At idle, it sounds like something is rolling ruffly. It makes me think that there may be a bearing going bad. I read on other threads that when the one-way bearing goes bad, the engine brake usually starts acting up. My engine brake works fine all the time without a miss.

The fuel venting system is blocked..this could be from the tank or elswhere…look for pipes that vent from the carb direct…try running the engine with the fuel tank cap off after it has stalled. As to the pilot jet setting… as a general guide only… 1 1/2 turns out is a good start.
