Write a review I’ve had my 2000 Intruder 800 for 18 months and 2600 miles. I bought it used with 4,000 miles on it. I like the bike a lot. I had not ridden in almost 30 years before this bike.

How do you adjust or repair the clutch?
I have a 1997 Suzuki Intruder 800 cc that has been sitting for a couple of years and when I started it up after changing oil and filter, clean spartplugs, etc. it has the clutch slipping when I ride it. This is a hydraulic system. How do you adjust or repair the clutch?

What to do if you have a clutch problem on your motorcycle?
The easiest thing to try is loosen the master cylinder enough to shift it on the bars, turn the bars hard right, and see if you can get the fitting lower than the rest. You may need a helper to lean the bike some.
