Is the Mitsubishi 07 380 blower motor OK?
The blower motor gets constant power which you already verified is good since you can apply earth to the motor and it operates. This also verified the motor is OK.
Why is my blower fan not working on my Mitsubishi?
The reason for this is that if the resistor/transistor failed in such a way that the AC ecu can not tell then if the fan is “on” you would be driving with the AC compressor engaged too… which without the air flow across the cooling unit would cause pressures to go up pretty high and cause unnecessary wear on the compressor.
Why is the AC not turning off in my Mitsubishi?
The AC not turning off ca be related depending on how the transistor fails (it sometimes back feeds causing this symptom), however it also can be related to how your knobs are set (if you are on defrost, on any auto range, or if the temperature is near full cold, you will not be able to turn the AC light off).

The fan motor was gone in my case, It took $35 (fan from the wreckers) and 10 minutes to fix. The motor on my car is mounted under the glovebox and screwed on with 3 screws and one plug.

Where is the transistor located on a Mitsubishi blower?
Looking at the horizontal section of duct work that connects the blower motor housing to the center air handler, you will see the transistor mounted on top of this horizontal duct work. It has a large square electrical connector plugging down into it vertically.

What do I need to replace my Mitsubishi blower?
Given the track record so far, I would strongly recommend just getting the proper Mitsubishi part. Replacement is straight forward and only requires some philips screw drivers. If you remove the glove box and glove box backing panel you will be able to see the air handler and duct work.

How to change the transistor on a Mitsubishi 380?
The transistor is held on with philips screws…. a small screw driver will be needed here, clearance is very tight. Just remove the old transistor and put the new one in and you will be good to go. If you have any questions just let me know.

Why is my AC blower transistor not working?
With the AC compressor turning on we can determine with almost complete accuracy that your blower transistor is failed. The only alternative would be a wiring problem, which unless you had a rodent issue etc, is pretty unlikely.
