Why does my TH350 dipstick tube keep leaking?
It could also be the o-ring for the detent cable….which is just inches away from the dip stick. Not all TH350 dipstick tubes used o-rings. I think this varied by year model of transmission??? (right/wrong??)

Well, I pulled my dipstick tube out and there was no O-ring on it. There was what looked like a small crush collar about 2 inches from the end of the tube. It is part of the tube. This “collar” butts up against the tranny case when the tube is in place.
